The stone is named after the Madagascar Ibis bird whichhas similar coloring. This bird, historically has been associated with Thoth, the Egyptian god of wisdom & spiritual sciences. We can trace some of this stone's metaphysical properties back to this association- ibis jasper can assist with meditation, akashic record work, ritual, higher self allignment, and all things spiritual.Similar to polychrome jasper, ibis jasper is gorgeous and carries great magic with it. Ibis Jasper has incredible inclusions and veins of druzy calcite and quartz. The patterns and striations are just mesmerizing.
